Law Commission Consultation on Kinship Care (Consultation Paper)

We ask consultees to tell us if they believe or have evidence or data to suggest that

1. the operation of the current law governing kinship care; or
2. the provisional proposals which we make in this consultation paper

results, or would if the law were reformed in the way we provisionally propose result, in advantages or disadvantages to certain groups or based on certain characteristics (with particular attention to age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation).

We ask for consultees' views on how any disparities in the operation of the current law governing kinship care could be reduced or removed.
